Top Things to Do in Peninsula, OH

1. Visit the Howe Meadows Farmers Market. The Howe Meadows Farmers Market is located at 4040 Riverview Rd, Peninsula, OH, 44264. The market is on Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm, April 21st – October 27th. The market, managed by the Countryside Conservancy, features live music and has over 50 vendors. 2. Take a bike ride on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Head south and visit the Beaver Marsh. Bikes can be rented from Century Cycles. Peninsula is also near the East Rim & Hampton Hills mountain biking trails.

3. Hike the Ledges Trail. Park at Happy Days Lodge and follow the Haskell Run Trail until it meets up with the Ledges Trail. View the 320 million year old rock formations that created the modern day Ritchie Ledges. An additional 125 miles of hiking trails are available in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Buckeye Trail can be accessed from downtown Peninsula.

4. Visit a local Cuyahoga Conservancy farm. Farm fresh eggs & seasonal vegetables are available at a self-serve station at Trapp Family Farm.

5. Pick blueberries. In late June/ early July, no spray blueberries are available from Greenfield Berry Farm.

6. Listen to a Voices in the Valley concert at the G.A.R. Hall.

7. Grab a pint of craft beer from the Winking Lizard. If you are looking for a quieter experience, duck into the Whiskey Celler. Or grab a ½ pint of Mitchell’s Ice Cream from Trail Mix.
8. Take a swim in the Peninsula Quarry.

9. Walk south on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail to Deep Lock Quarry.

10. Enjoy a summer concert of the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom. Pack a picnic and a bottle of wine and enjoy music on the lawn of Blossom.
